L'Arc Macau Launched Clothing Recycling Campaign
(Sept 29, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been taken social responsibility and initiative to participate and organize volunteering events, including children home and elderly centre visit, sign language workshop as well as the most recent volunteering blood donation activity and Grand Panda Pavilion visit with the Special Olympic members. L’Arc Macau Volunteering Team once again launched a clothing recycling campaign in September to promote resources reuse message to their staff as well as spreading love and care to the community.
With the enthusiastic response from L’Arc Macau staff and L’Arc volunteer team members, more than 600 clothes have been collected. The L’Arc Volunteer Team leader along with the representative of volunteer members have visited and delivered these clothes to the Salvation Army of Macau on 29th September. Some of these clothes will be sold in the Salvation Army shop to raise funds for future charity activities, whereas the rest of clothes will be donated to the peoples in needs within Macau, Hong Kong and the Mainland China region.
L’Arc Volunteer Team is an active platform for staff to contribute more to the society through participating in different volunteering work. This clothing recycling campaign has been organized the second time this year as L’Arc Macau believes that this campaign is a good practice to promote both green recycling message and sending cares to the community.
