L’Arc Macau Marks the 9th Anniversary through Volunteer Activities
(August 29, 2018 - Macau) Commemorating the 9th Anniversary, L’Arc Macau has organized a series of volunteering and recycling activities from July to October to extend the joy of the anniversary to the community together with the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team.
Since 2015, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has started to organize the “Blood Donation Activity” and has just completed the ninth time on 26th July with enthusiastic response from the staff. A volunteer who has frequently participated in this activity expressed that it only takes a little effort to donate blood and save lives. He would like to influence more people to donate blood according to his personal experience.
L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has also organized the “Macau Fire Services Museum Tour” on 28th August and has invited the children from ECF Inc. Fellowship Orphanage together to enjoy the last moment of the summer holidays. Besides getting acquainted with the firefighter and the history of firefighting service as well as raising the fire safety awareness, this activity has also been aimed to share love and care to the needy children.
In addition to the volunteer activities mentioned above, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has recently launched the “Clothing Recycling Activity” and the “Used Batteries Recycling Activity” again and has collected nearly 5,200 pieces of clothing and over 4,100 pieces of batteries respectively. In the upcoming months, the volunteer team will launch the “Moon Cake Box Recycling Activity” and various recycling activities to call the attention of staff towards environmental awareness while enjoying festive celebrations.
L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has been established for almost 4 years with over 1,200 participants taking part in volunteer activities and proactively fulfilled its corporate social responsibility leading the staff to contribute to the community with the spirit of “Show Your Love”.
