Lisboeta Macau and L’Arc Macau join hands to organize The first-ever blood donation event Embarking on a new charity journey together

(February 29, 2024 - Macau) In furtherance of promoting a culture of compassion and uniting for benevolent causes, Lisboeta Macau and L’Arc Macau organized a “Volunteer Team” to visit the Macao Blood Transfusion Service and participate in a collective blood donation activity at 2 p.m. this afternoon. This event not only contributes to strengthening the blood reserves in Macao but also encourages more people actively participate in voluntary blood donation, embodying our corporate social responsibility through practical actions to sustain the promotion of charity. The first-ever charity event has received an enthusiastic response, with over 20 team members signing up, and over half of them were first-time participants in the act of blood donation.


Representatives from the management group of Lisboeta Macau and L’Arc Macau attended the event, highly praised each volunteer who participated in the blood donation activity and encouraged all members to continue practicing corporate social responsibility through tangible actions. The representatives also encourage team members to pay attention to public welfare affairs and contribute to society with love.


Lisboeta Macau and L’Arc Macau hope that their team members will gain a deeper understanding of the spirit of helping others and contribute to fostering a positive atmosphere in society through this charitable blood donation event. L’Arc Macau Awards “Employee of the 4th Quarter of 2023”

(January 18, 2024 - Macau) L’Arc Macau hosted the “Best Employee of the Quarter” Award Ceremony on 18th January at Hotel Staff Cafeteria to recognize the awardees for their contributions and outstanding performances. The atmosphere was lively as the management and employees from various departments gathered to congratulate these exceptional awardees.

The awardees of the “Employee of the 4th Quarter of 2023” were Food & Beverage - Liu Qunying and Leong Weng Lim, Housekeeping - Emilie De Jesus Bersalote, Engineering - Chen Yuxin, Corporate Communications - Sou Chi San, IT Systems & AV - Lu Chi Hung, Casino Operations - Che Sut Kio and Lam Wai Kin, Casino Security - Lei Wai Kin, Casino Treasury - Lei Mun Seong. Mr. Leung Man Kit, Chief Financial Officer of L’Arc Macau presented certificates, pin of recognition and dining vouchers to the awardees and expressed heartfelt congratulations to them. He also praised for their professional skills and contributions, and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence as well as providing guests with quality service. A Staff Party was held right after the Award Ceremony, featuring sumptuous buffet, interactive games and exciting lucky draws, which created a joyful and warm atmosphere.

L’Arc Macau 8th Anniversary Celebration

(September 12, 2017 - Macau) L’Arc Macau is marching towards its 8th Anniversary since it was founded in 2009. To appreciate the efforts and contributions of the staff, L’Arc Macau held an Anniversary Staff Party on 12th September. Ms. Angela Leong, Chairperson of L’Arc Macau; Mr. Arnaldo Ho, Assistant Chief Operating Officer of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. and the senior management team have spent the joyful moment with the staff at the party.

In the opening speech, Ms. Angela Leong expressed her heartfelt thanks to the staff for their efforts and support with L’Arc Macau. She also wishes that all staff will be united to catch new opportunities and strive for a brighter future. The party featured with delicacies, performances and a variety of interactive games, everyone was excited during the party which made the event ended up in a pleasant atmosphere.

In addition to share the joyful moment of the 8th Anniversary with the staff and the community, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has organized a series of volunteering activities including Macao Water Explore Tour and University of Macau Explore Tour with the elderly, as well as the Blood Donation Activities to spread positive energy to the community. Furthermore, L’Arc Macau leads their staff to engage in environmental protection and enhance environmental awareness through a series of recycling activities so as to fulfill corporate social responsibility.

Flamingo Received “Macau Portuguese Style Restaurant” Award at the “Hong Kong Restaurant Interior Design Awards 2017” 

(September 07, 2017 – Macau) Flamingo, a classic Portuguese restaurant managed by L’Arc Macau with its location at the Regency Art Hotel, has always been presenting guests with the classic taste of traditional Macanese cuisine under a unique Portuguese style décor atmosphere. The restaurant has been awarded “Macau Portuguese Style Restaurant” at the “Hong Kong Restaurant Interior Design Awards 2017”. 

The “Hong Kong Restaurant Interior Design Awards 2017” co-organized by Restaurant and Bar Hong Kong and Tasting Kitchen Magazine, aims to award restaurants that deliver exceptional dining experience and exciting ambiance for their guests. The judging panel was composed by a group of experienced designers, Food and Beverage managements and trade media, which made the award widely recognized by the industry.

Flamingo restaurant has retained its classic Portuguese style décor, featuring orange and white color tone and embellished with wooden floorings, furnishings and ceiling fan chandelier to create an overall classic ambient atmosphere. L’Arc Macau visits “National Security Education Exhibition”

(May 15, 2023 - Macau) L’Arc Macau has consistently upheld the spirit of “Loving the Motherland and Loving Macao” and actively promoted the importance of safeguarding national security to team members. On 15th May, Ms. Connie Kong, Chief Executive Officer of L’Arc Macau led the team members visited the “National Security Education Exhibition” to deepen the comprehensive understanding of national security and development among them.

The exhibition was divided into a prologue and five themed sections, with a focus on summarizing the significant achievements of national security in the new era and the major accomplishments of the “One Country, Two Systems” principle in Macau. During the visit, L’Arc Macau team members attentively viewed the exhibition content and had a multifaceted understanding on new great accomplishments achieved in the construction and development of the national security system, as well as gained insight on the achievements and experiences in terms of Macau social stability and economic development under the strong support from the Motherland.

One of the team members stated that he gained deeper understanding of the holistic view of national security and has raised national security awareness through this visit. He also expressed his pride in the strong development of Motherland and will continue to take part to safeguard the stability and prosperity of Macau.

Moving forward, L’Arc Macau will strive to make concerted efforts to actively contribute to the development of Macau by persisting in raising awareness of national security among team members as well as fulfilling the responsibility to safeguard national security and upholding the core value of “Loving the Motherland and Loving Macao”. 

 

 

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Participates in Blood Donation

(August 10, 2017 – Macau) To celebrate the 8th Anniversary of L’Arc Macau, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team organized a series of volunteering activities to share the happiness with the staff. Further to the previous Macao Water Explore Tour and University of Macau Explore Tour activities, the Volunteer Team held two “Blood Donation Activity” in early August, taking action to care the community. 

The “Blood Donation Activity” has received positive response from the staff. A volunteer member who was a first-time blood donor expressed that he was pleased to join this activity and it was not as terrified as he first imagined. He believed that this activity was a great opportunity to help the needy and will again participate in the future. Another volunteer member who is a regular blood donor stated that she strongly believes that this simple action can help save lives and she would like to encourage more people to support in blood donation.

“Blood Donation Activity” has been held for three consecutive years, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team will continue to organize and encourage more staff to join this meaningful activity in the future. L’Arc Macau is always committed to fulfill corporate social responsibility and proactively promote different types of activities providing platforms for staff to make contributions to the society.

L’Arc Macau 8th Anniversary Celebration Activity Visits University of Macau with the Elderly

(August 01, 2017 – Macau) As to celebrate the upcoming 8th Anniversary, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team organized a series of volunteering activities to fulfill corporate social responsibility. Besides the previous Macau Water Explore Tour Activity, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited University of Macau on 1st August with the elderly from Caritas Macau Centro Pastoral da Areia Preta. They appreciated the magnificent architecture of University of Macau and spent a pleasure afternoon together.

On the day of activity, University of Macau PR Student Ambassadors introduced the history and development of the University to both parties. With the lead of the PR Student Ambassadors, they visited the University of Macau Wu Yee Sun Library and Residential College, to better understand the latest development of the University and the facilities in the Residential College, both of them expressed their appreciation for this comfortable environment. With a direct communication between both parties, they show their love and care to each other during the activity, and they ended up in a pleasure atmosphere as L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team sending gift bags with blessings to the elderly.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team organizes different volunteer activities since its establishment, such as visiting different underprivileged groups, organizing different types of workshops and a series of recycling activities. Meanwhile, the blood donation activity will be held in the upcoming dates, to spread their love to the society. L’Arc Macau Celebrates Anniversary with the Elderly

(July 25, 2017 – Macau) Celebrating the forthcoming 8th Anniversary of L’Arc Macau, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team prepared a series of volunteering activities so as to share the happiness with the staff. To kick off the anniversary celebrations, they invited the elderly of Casa Ricci Elderly Center to visit the Macao Water Supply Company Limited allowing them to have better understanding about Macau’s water supply situation.

The representative of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team, Mr. Vong Weng Hong presented souvenir to the Corporate Communications Manager of the Macao Water Supply Company Limited, Ms. Sarah Cheang to thank for the arrangement. During the tour, the volunteers and the elderly have got in-depth knowledge of water supply facilities and situation, water treatment process even more and they have benefited a lot through this tour. At the end of the visit, the volunteers presented gifts and heartwarming blessings to the elderly.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team member commented that this activity can allow the young people and the elderly interacting between each other and broaden their horizon, as well as to raise the awareness of cherishing and conserving water. In August, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team will keep organizing different kinds of anniversary volunteer activities, including the visit in University of Macau with the elderly from Caritas Macau Centro Pastoral da Areia Preta and Blood Donation Activity. In addition to share the joyful moment of 8th Anniversary of L’Arc Macau with the staff and the community, this also can spread positive energy into the community. Green Practices of L’Arc Macau

(July 18, 2017 – Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team organized a series of recycling activities to encourage employees participating in environmental protection. Besides “Clothing Recycling Activity”, “Red Packet Recycling Activity” and “Used Batteries Recycling Activity” are newly launched in this year, to enhance the environmental awareness of the employees.

The “Red Packet Recycling Activity” has made a great impact between the staff within three weeks. It was encouraged with an outstanding result by achieving over 4,000 red packets. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team delivered the collected red packets to Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais (IACM), and IACM will distribute part of the red packets to public for reuse, and the remaining will be recycled after sorting. 

Response to the battery recycling programme launched by Direcção dos Serviços de Protecção Ambiental (DSPA), L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has organized a monthly “Used Batteries Recycling Activity” by setting up the battery collection points in hotel since April. The activity has received great attention from the staff, and has hitherto collected nearly a thousand of single-use batteries and rechargeable batteries. The collected batteries will be sorted by the Volunteer Team before sent to the collection points set by DSPA. Reducing harmful effects caused by wasted batteries to environment by actual efforts.

The “Clothing Recycling Activity” has always been supported by the staff. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team relaunched this activity in June after the completion in February. This time, the Volunteer Team successfully collected thousands of pieces of clothing, and delivered it to the Salvation Army of Macau by the representatives of the Volunteer Team on 18th July. Some of the donated clothes are sold in Family Stores in Hong Kong and Macau to raise funds for The Salvation Army’s community programmes; some of the clothes will be donated to the people in needs, making the best use of the resources and also caring the community to practice the spirit of contributing to society and fostering mutual love.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team is leading employees to engage in environmental protection and promote environmental awareness through a series of recycling activities. In the future, L’Arc Macau will continue to commit its corporate social responsibility, promote recycling and reduce waste at source to drive a low-carbon and green life in Macau with the employees.

L'Arc Macau visits “National Security Education Exhibition”

(May 09, 2022 - Macau) To raise awareness of national security and deepen understanding of the holistic view of national security, Ms. Connie Kong, Chief Executive Officer of L’Arc Macau led the team members to visit the “National Security Education Exhibition” on 9th  May to strengthen the sense of responsibility for safeguarding national security and continue to enhance the spirit of “Loving the Motherland and Loving Macao”.

Through series of photos and text descriptions, the exhibition highlighted that under the guidance of the holistic view of national security, the promotion of the national security has made remarkable success with great achievement in the long term stable growth in the implementation of the “One Country, Two Systems” principle in Macau. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Celebrates Children’s Day with Macau Special Olympics Members

(May 27, 2017 – Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team is committed to care about the community by organizing different volunteer activities since its establishment in 2015. As to celebrate the International Children’s Day with the Macau Special Olympics’ children, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members visited the Welfare Department of Macau Special Olympics on 27th May and have enjoyed a pleasant afternoon with the children.

The Volunteer Team prepared interactive games for the children as the start of the activity. They built effective communication channel with each other and created pleasant atmosphere during the game session. They also participated in the straw collage art workshop to inspire the creativity of the children. A Volunteer Team member expressed his feeling from having a joyous gathering with the Macau Special Olympics’ members. He stated that more love and care should be given to them as they are the part of the community. Through this activity, the Macau Special Olympics’ members have a chance to express their innermost feeling, build self confidence, speak out their opinions and hence the society will be able to provide them with the most suitable service.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Centro de Dia da Ilha Verde

(April 25, 2017 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team is committed to promoting corporate social responsibility to the community and aim to take care of the needy among the community through organizing a variety of volunteer activities since the establishment. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the elderly people of Centro de Dia da Ilha Verde on 25th April, with the aim to have a better understanding of their daily life. They prepared a series of interactive games for the elderly people, spending a joyful afternoon with them.

The representative of the center introduced the center’s facilities, services and daily operations to the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members, and the members presented a souvenir to the representative for appreciation. The Volunteer Team members demonstrated and led the elderly people to do warm-up exercises to prepare for following games. Before the end of the activity, the members presented gifts to the elderly to spread love and care. A Volunteer Team member expressed that young people should care for the elderly; listen to them; and cherish the time with them.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival by Spreading Love and Care

(September 15, 2021 - Macau) L’Arc Macau has always fulfilled its corporate social responsibility by organizing and participating in various volunteering activities for caring the vulnerable populations. As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has visited several local associations on 14th and 15th September to send mooncake gift boxes and festive greetings.

On the day of the activity, Ms. Shirley Ao, the representative of the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team, together with Volunteer Team members visited four local associations, including the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired, the Macau Special Olympics and the Women’s General Association of Macau. They presented mooncake gift boxes to the associations and expressed festive blessings to the members under a warm and joyful atmosphere. Ms. Shirley Ao said: “L’Arc Macau hopes to send greetings and blessings for the association members through this activity, and share the festive happiness with communities as well as promoting the ‘Show your Love’ spirit to the society.”

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Recreational Centre Sharing Love to the Elderly

(March 1, 2017 – Macau) Since the establishment of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team in 2015, they have been fulfilling corporate social responsibility through various volunteer activities. As to disseminate the message of caring for the elderly, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the "Fai Chi Kei" Recreational Centre on March 1, spending a pleasant and meaningful afternoon with the elderly. 

To meet the physical and emotional needs of the elderly, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members prepared the “Chair Aerobic Exercise” for them to improve their balance skills and reduce the risk of falling. After that, both of the members participated in the interactive games which brought them closer. Before the end of the activity, they also performed classical songs together to heighten up the whole activity. A Volunteer Team member expressed that having talked with the elderly allowed him to have a better understanding of their needs, their feelings and their innermost, at the same time can gain valuable life experiences from them. He also hopes the society can show care and concern to the elderly and provide them with the most suitable service.

L'Arc Macau Fully Supports Red Packet Recycling Activity

(February 15, 2017 – Macau) The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has always been taking the initiative to fulfill social responsibility by participating in volunteering activities and supporting various types of environmental initiatives. The team first launched the “Red Packet Recycling Activity”, and has placed collection boxes at L’Arc Hotel Macau to encourage staff to recycle their red packets to make better use of resources by reducing waste. Meanwhile, the team hopes to promote environmental awareness among staff through the campaign.

The “Red Packet Recycling Activity” attracted active participation from the L’Arc Macau staff within one month, and has collected over 4,000 red packets. L’Arc Macau is proud of the team for achieving such outstanding results and would like to support this meaningful campaign consecutively. The representatives of the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team delivered the collected red packets to Instituto Para Os Assuntos Civicos E Municipais (IACM), and will be distributed by IACM to general public for reuse in the coming year.

L’Arc Macau Launched Clothing Recycling Campaign Bringing Warmth to the Needy

(Febuary 10, 2017 – Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has launched the “Clothing Recycling Campaign” again before the Chinese New Year to bring warmth and care to the needy. Through the campaign, the message of recycling resources has been promoted to all hotel staff and at the same time spreading the spirit of “show your love” to the community.

Meanwhile, to instill environmentally friendly behavior in staff and combines the volunteer team spirit of “Show your Love”, to help the needy in our community and supports environmental protection.

The campaign attracted active participation from the staff and has collected about 1,000 clothes driving to turn love into action. The representatives of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team delivered the donated clothes to the Salvation Army of Macau, some of these clothes will be sold in the Salvation Army Shop to raise funds for future charity activities, whereas the rest of the clothes will be donated to the people in needs within Macau, Hong Kong and the Mainland China.

(January 28, 2017 – Macau) To welcome the Year of Rooster and to share the happiness and joy together, L’Arc Macau officiated a festive program of “Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony” on the first day of Chinese New Year. A series of celebration activities including the traditional worship ceremony, dragon and lion dance performance and eye-dotting ritual were held symbolizing good fortune and happiness throughout the year.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits The Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind

(December 6, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has always been promoting corporate social responsibility since its establishment. By organizing different volunteer work and activities, they aim to help the needy in the community with their staff. As to drive caring about the needs of the blind among the community, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind of the Macau Holy House of Mercy on 6th December, at the same time expressing their love and care to the society.

On the visit day, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team representative explained the objectives and goals for L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team. In order to have an understanding of the world of the blind, they learned the concept and the method of using the braille and the walking stick. Before the activity ended, both L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team and the centre members involved in interactive games to improve relationships with each other. “Although the visual impaired cannot see the same world as we do, they never give up themselves and live positively. Through this activity, I hope we could learn to face our challenges and obstacles optimistically, and at the same time spreading this positive spirit to others,” the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team member representative said.

L'Arc Macau Volunteer Team Spreading Love Before Chinese New Year 

(January 22, 2020 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has been actively organizing and participating in various of volunteer activities since its establishment in 2015. On 22nd January prior to the Chinese New Year, the Volunteer Team visited the Asilo de Felicity to send blessings and share the festive joyfulness to the elderly.

During the visit, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members organized warm-up exercise and interactive games and sang classic songs together with the elderly to create pleasant atmosphere. Before the end of the activity, the Volunteer Team sent blessings and expressed love and care to the elderly by presenting festive gift bags to them. A Volunteer Team member stated that it is easy to overlook the needs of the elderly, through this activity, he realized that it is very important to listen and care for the elderly, also will spend more time with them in the future.

(September 20, 2016 – Macau) In order to celebrate the 7th Anniversary, L’Arc Macau has organized a series of volunteering activities during July and August, as well as giving away mooncakes to staff and local associations before Mid-Autumn Festival to share the joyfulness of festival with them. Meanwhile, L’Arc Macau also offered dining privileges to reward customers for their continuous support. As to appreciate the efforts and contributions of their staff, L’Arc Macau organized the anniversary staff party on 20th September. The Chairperson of L’Arc Macau, Ms. Angela Leong and the senior management team have spent a fruitful moment with their employees on the party.

L'Arc Macau Volunteer Team Shares the Joy of Christmas with The Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind

(December 11, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau has always committed to serve the community through caring the vulnerable populations. On 11th December, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has visited and sent Christmas greetings to The Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind at the Macau Holy House of Mercy.

Prior to the visit, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team organized a scarf knitting workshop and taught volunteer members to knit scarfs. With the efforts of the Volunteer Team memebers, more than 40 handmade scrafs were made for The Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind. 

On the visit day, Ms. Isabella Wong, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team led the volunteers to The Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind and have communicate well with the centre members through interactive games. The Volunteer Team presented the handmade scrafs to the centre members to express cares and blessings of warmth to them in this winter. One of the Volunteer Team members expressed that visually impaired is always being positive even they have been facing challenges in their daily life and everyone should learn this positive attitude and be more optimistic to deal with setbacks in our daily life.

On the visit day, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team representatives visited Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired and Macau Special Olympics, and donated L’Arc Macau mooncakes to both associations, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with them, at the same time expressing the Volunteer Team’s blessings and appreciation to the members. L’Arc Macau Management expressed that as Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals in China, this activity aims to share happy moments with everyone in the community, as to express L’Arc Macau’s care and support to them. Right after the Dinosaur Exhibition activity with the Evangelize China Fellowship children in early July and the blood donation in July and August, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team joined the Communications Museum Explorer Tour together with Casa Ricci Elderly Center members. They all enjoyed a joyful moment in the afternoon.

On the visit day, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team and Casa Ricci Elderly Center members joined “The Voice” exhibition guided by the docent, to understand the complexity and different aspects of the voice. Casa Ricci Elderly Center members showed their energetic spirits when involving in the interactive exhibits, which created a pleasant atmosphere during the tour. By the end of the activity, the Volunteer Team members sent their gifts with blessings and appreciation towards the elderly. They expressed that they now have better understanding towards the elderly, and can also learn different life experiences from them. They hope to put an effort on the future volunteering activities to share love and care to others.

L'Arc Macau Celebrating 10th Anniversary through Volunteer Activities 

(September 19, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau has always fulfilled the corporate social responsibility and express care to the community. As to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of L’Arc Macau, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team organized a series of volunteer activities from July to September.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team had been holding the “Blood Donation Activity” for five consecutive years since its establishment in 2015 and has received enthusiastic supports from their staff. On 19th July, the Volunteer Team visited the Macao Blood Transfusion Service to save lives by actions. A volunteer expressed that he was pleased to join this meaningful activity as it is a great opportunity to save lives and he hoped that more people could take action to join in the blood donation.

On 19th September, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has also organized the “Communications Museum Tour”, and invited members of Macau Special Olympics to understand the history and development of stamps collection and telecommunications. With visiting various interactive exhibits on site, the activity end with a pleasure atmosphere. Ms. Isabella Wong, the leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team stated that joining volunteer activity could provide care to the needy as well as gaining self happiness and she would like to encourage more people to take part in volunteer activities and spread love to the community.
In response to green lifestyle, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team regular organized “Clothing Recycling Activity” and “Used Batteries Recycling Activity”, and also held the “Red Packet Recycling Activity” early this year. With enthusiastic supports from their staff, around 6,500 pieces of clothing, 7,000 pieces of batteries and 23,000 pieces of red packet have been collected. Meanwhile, the Volunteer Team is currently holding the “Moon Cake Box Recycling Activity” and raising awareness of environmental protection while celebrating the festival.

L’Arc Macau Collects Clothing for Donation 

(August 15, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been taking the initiative to contribute to the community by encouraging staff to participate in various volunteer activities. The “Clothing Recycling Campaign” has remained popular since its first launch. The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team launched the campaign again in July, and delivered almost 1,700 collected clothes to the Salvation Army of Macau.

The “Clothing Recycling Campaign” attracted active participation from the L’Arc Macau staff, and has collected almost 1,700 clothes. This reflects their high environmental awareness, and devotion to help the needy in the community. The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team leader and representatives delivered the donated clothes to the Salvation Army of Macau on 15th August. Part of the donations will be sold in the Salvation Army Shop to raise funds for future charity activities, whereas the rest of the donations will be delivered to the people in need within Macau, Hong Kong, and the Mainland China so that more recipients will be cared for.

The L’Arc Volunteer Team is an active platform for staff to contribute to the society, and to fulfill corporate social responsibilities. The “Clothing Recycling Campaign” not only promotes environmental awareness and reducing waste to the public, it also allows L’Arc Macau to contribute to the community continuously.

Ms. Isabella Wong, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team led the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team to send festive greetings and mooncake gift boxes to spread love and care to four local associations during Mid-Autumn Festival, including Macau Special Olympics, The ECF Inc. Fellowship Orphanage, the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind of the Macau Holy House of Mercy, and the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired. Ms. Isabella Wong said: “The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the important Chinese festivals for family reunion, we take this opportunity to spread love and care to local community. We hope to share our blessings and wish everyone a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival.”

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members actively participate in the activity, along with the management members, they visited the Macao Blood Transfusion Service on 27th July, to share the spirit of donating blood and save lives by actions. “I am pleased to have another chance of joining this meaningful activity this year. Blood donation not only can help people in needs and lighting their hopes, but also benefit to the blood donor himself. I hope more volunteers can join this activity and taking actions to express care to the community,” the volunteer member who continuously joined blood donation said.

Everyone looks excited during the activity which made the event ended up in a pleasure atmosphere. “We just need to devote some time and can leave an unforgettable memory for the children. We look forward to color others’ lives by joining volunteer activities in the future,” the volunteer members said.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Praia do Manduco Centre for the Elderly

(May 22, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the “Praia do Manduco” Centre for the Elderly on 22nd May and spent a lovely afternoon with the elders.

On the day of the activity, Ms. Isabella Wong, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team led the volunteers to visit “Praia do Manduco” Centre for the Elderly. The centre representative introduced the centre’s facilities and services to the volunteers for them to have a deeper understanding of the daily operations of the centre. Ms. Isabella Wong then presented souvenir to the centre representative to thank for the warm hospitality. Before the activity ended, the volunteers played interactive games and presented gifts to the elders to express cares and blessing. A volunteer team member expressed that the activity allows her to have a have a better understanding of elders’ needs and we should pay more attention and dedicated care to the elders.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has convened more than 1, 400 participants to engage in volunteer activities since its establishment in 2015, adhering to the spirit of “Show Your Love” and promoting corporate social responsibility to lead staff to care the vulnerable and contribute to the society. 

L’Arc Macau visits the Macao Holy House of Mercy

(June 29, 2016 – Macau) The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Macao Holy House of Mercy on 29th June 2016. Through this visit, the Team has showed their love and care towards the elderly by communicating and interacting with them .

On the visit day, the representative of the Macao Holy House of Mercy introduced the daily operations of the center to the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team. The Team devoted themselves into a series of health exercise, interactive games, singing performance and communication with the elderly. They have enjoyed themselves in the pleasant atmosphere. The Volunteer Team members expressed that as the young generation, they should be liable of showing more love and care to the elderly in order to enhance communication with each other. They hope to have more opportunity to join such activities so that they will be able to devote themselves more to the elderly.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has proactively promoting voluntary work and has always been organizing visits to different social organization in Macau. The Team aims to have a better understanding and concerns towards the needy and at the same time bringing in the spirit of “Show you Love” and positive energy to the community.

 

 

L’Arc Macau Awards “Employee of the 1st Quarter of 2019”

(April 17, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau hosted the Staff Party and Employee of the Quarter Award Ceremony on 17th April at the Hotel Staff Cafeteria, for recognizing the professional practices and accomplishments of employees. The Management of L’Arc Macau attended the party together with the employees to share the moment and happiness of the awardees.

The staff party featured hearty buffet, interactive games and lucky draw section. L’Arc Macau Celebrates Children’s Day with Macau Special Olympics Members

(May 30, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has proactively participating in volunteer and social activities. Since the International Children’s Day is approaching, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Centro de Formação Pro. e de Estimulação do Des. dos Deficientes Mentais de Macau Special Olympics on 28th May 2016. The Team aims to have a better understanding towards the Macau Special Olympics (MSO) members through paper arts and games and to share love and care to them.

On the visit day, the Team received a warm welcome from the MSO members and devoted themselves into a series of interactive games and paper arts workshop in a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The Volunteer Team members expressed that as long as the society can accept and understanding them, the MSO members can put their advantages into practice and intergrate into the society despite that they are facing different obstacles and challenges in their daily life. They hope to have more opportunity for others to share their love and care to the MSO members so as to increase their confidence in integrating into the society.

The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has always been fulfilling corporate social responsibility and promoting different volunteer work and activities actively since their establishment. L’Arc Macau Hosts Chinese New Year Staff Party

(February 22, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau hosted the Chinese New Year Staff Party on 22nd February to appreciate the staff for their hard work in the past year. The management enjoyed the party together with over 1,000 staff to celebrate the Year of the Pig.

Ms. Angela Leong, Chairperson of L’Arc Macau, applauded staff for their dedication in her address to the party, adding that visitors have increased rapidly under the promotion of “Creative City of Gastronomy” and the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. She encouraged the staff to extend “Customers Centric” spirit followed by adhering enthusiasm and teamwork, aiming to reach the next milestones with L’Arc Macau together.

The staff party prepared a rich variety of delicacies, a series of exciting interactive games and lucky draw section with a cake-cutting ceremony as a birthday celebration as well. More than 800 prizes were given away at the party including gold ornaments, electronic products, theme park package and cash coupons. The party ended in a happy atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the joyous moment.

L’Arc Macau Joins the  “2016 MSO Charity Bazaar Day”

(April 18, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has proactively participated in volunteer activities to share love and support to the needy in the community. The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has taken part in the annual charity event held by the Macau Special Olympics (MSO) on 17th April 2016 – the “2016 MSO Charity Bazaar Day”. This event aimed to raise public attention to children with special needs and promoting equality and harmonious in the community.

On the visit day, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members joined with volunteers from different charity organizations and worked together with the MSO members in setting up game booths to provide recreational activities to the public. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members pointed out that this event not only enhanced their mutual understanding and awareness towards the MSO members, and also reinforced the interaction and importance of respect for each others. It also brought about the broadening of the socialization of volunteer work to the members. In the future, L’Arc Macau will continuously fulfill and promote corporate social responsibility and supports the needy in the community. 

 

 

 

L’Arc Macau Celebrates the Year of the Pig with Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony

(February 5, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau hosted a celebration to welcome the Year of the Pig with traditional worship ceremony, dragon and lion dance performance as well as lighting firecrackers on 5th February. The celebration carried blessings of prosperity and good fortune to the guests.

The celebration began at 10 a.m. and was kicked off with the worship ceremony. Ms. Angela Leong, the Chairperson of L’Arc Macau and Mr. Li Chi Keung, the Vice Chairman of L’Arc Macau then led the management team in officiating the dragon and lion eye-dotting ritual. Following the ceremony, the lively dragon and lion dance was performed accompany with the sound of drums, gongs and cymbals, sending best wishes to every corner of the Hotel during the parade. The celebration peaked in the lighting of firecrackers which brings blessings in the year head along with festive and joyous atmosphere surrounded the crowd.

L’Arc Macau Awards “Employee of the 1st Quarter 2016”

(April 15, 2016 – Macau) In recognition of employees with outstanding performance, L'Arc Macau has launched the "Employee of the Quarter" awarding ceremony since 2010. The selection of the awardees is based on their service attitudes, commitment and teamwork. On 15th April, the awarding ceremony of the "Employee of the 1st Quarter 2016" has been held in the hotel staff cafeteria. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Elderly Before Chinese New Year

(January 23, 2019 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Longevity Special Day Care Center on 23rd January to send festive greetings to the elderly meanwhile gaining understanding of the center and the daily life of the elderly.

On the eve of the Chinese New Year, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the elderly at the Longevity Special Day Care Center and presented gifts to them as festive blessings. During the visit, the volunteer team presented souvenir to the representative of the center as a gratitude for their arrangement and warm welcome. The volunteer team interacted with the elderly through some warm-up exercise and games, also sang the classic oldies together with the elderly in an atmosphere of happiness. A volunteer team member expressed more love and care shall be extended to the elderly while the society should provide more support and services in response to the needs of the grass-root elderly.

L’Arc Macau Shares Love To The Hearing Impaired

(March 31, 2016 – Macau) The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has proactively organized caring activities by cooperating with different social organizations and creates opportunities for staff to participate and care about the community. In order to understand more about the hearing impaired, the Volunteer Team visited the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired on 31st March to share love and care to them.

On the visit day, the Volunteer Team members were being warmly welcomed by the association’s members. With the assistance of the instructor and the hearing impaired, the Volunteer Team members have an opportunity to learn the basic gestures of signing techniques and sign language song, and  the Volunteer Team members have taught the hearing impaired to make handmade flowers. During the activity, the association’s members together with the Volunteer Team have enjoyed the time in a mild ambiance filled with love and care.

The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has been promoting different volunteer work and activities actively since their establishment. As of the first quarter of 2016, they have already organized and participated in 7 volunteer activities. Their mission is to share their love, care and positive energy to the needy in the community.

L’Arc Macau Best Employees Awards 2015

(March 21, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau held the “Best Employees Awards 2015” at the Hotel 7/F Clubhouse to praise and encourage staff with outstanding performance over the past year and to strengthen their sense of belongings within the Company. The management team together with over 150 staff have shared the joyful moment with the awarded staff.

During the awarding ceremony, a total of 40 Best Employees have been awarded. Their outstanding performance has fully achieved the standards of being the Best Employees. Moreover, a total of 5 staff have been awarded the Best Managerial for their remarkable leadership and management skills which lead to their achievements and respects from all staff. During the event, the award staff of Best Managerial and Best Employees shared their managerial insights and feelings. Meanwhile, one of the trainee of the Executive Trainee Programme has been awarded a graduation certificate. This programme aims to explore potential graduates to become successful leaders in their career development through a 15-month on the job training.

L’Arc Macau Visits “Kei Hong Lok Yuen”

(November 7, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has continuously organized various visiting activities to care for the vulnerable populations. On 7th November, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the elderly at the Centro de Convivio “Kei Hong Lok Yuen” do Centro Pastoral da Areia Preta, aiming to have a better understanding of their daily life activities and send them warm greetings.

On the day of the activity, Mr. Stephen Pou, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team led the volunteers to visit the elderly at the Centro de Convivio “Kei Hong Lok Yuen” do Centro Pastoral da Areia Preta. The centre representative introduced the centre’s facilities and services for the elderly to the volunteer team during the site visit. He presented souvenir to the centre representative to express thanks for their arrangement and warm welcome. He also expressed the aim of this visit is to explore more about the daily life and needs of the elderly, so as to bring the young and the elderly closer to each other through a deep conversation to promote intergenerational harmony. During the visit, the volunteer team sang songs along with the elderly and specially prepared gifts for them which made the visit end with a pleasant atmosphere.

L'Arc Macau Promotes Eco-Friendly by Planting Trees 

(Mar 20, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been taking social responsibility to promote the message of resources conservation and environmental protection through different staff activities, thereby share love to the community. In order to enhance the awareness of environmental protection in the community and to contribute efforts to the Macau Green Work, the L’Arc Macau Volunteering Team joined the “ 2016 Macau Green Week and Tree Planting” activity organized by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) on March 20.

On the event day, the Volunteer Team members walked along the Seac Pai Van Park upon their arrival and at the same time promoted the message of resources conservation and environmental protection to the public. After that, the Volunteer Team members planted the sapling together and experienced the joy of planting and fulfilling green life to the park. They also received potted plants as souvenirs from IACM by the end of the event and to integrate the green living concept into everyday life. The Volunteer Team members expressed that it is difficult to spare time to have such a close touch with the nature due to busy life. This activity can help them to enhance their awareness on resources conservation and environmental protection. They hope to do their part to help others by participating in more volunteer activities. 

In order to let their staff care and participate more on social affairs, as well as maintaining a work life balance, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team continuously organizes and participates in different caring activities by cooperating with social organizations and encourages their staff to share love and care to the community.

L’Arc Macau Celebrates the Chinese New Year with Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony

(February 8, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau launched a Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony at the hotel main entrance on 8 February to mark the first day of the Chinese New Year of Monkey. Ms. Angela Leong, Chairperson of L’Arc Macau and Mr. Li Chi Keung, Vice Chairman of L’Arc Macau together with the management team sincerely wished everyone to have a wonderful year of Monkey. The ceremony kicked off with an eye-dotting ritual followed by an energetic lion dance being performed and L’Arc Macau welcomed the first day of the year of Monkey with their staff and guests. A God of Wealth gave away Lai See during the ceremony to share fortune and wealth to everyone.

L’Arc Macau has meticulously decorated the hotel with the theme of peach blossom and a 6-meter high peach blossom tree was being placed in the hotel lobby. L’Arc Macau hopes that every guest can feel the happiness and blessings of the traditional Chinese New Year. L'Arc Macau Spreads Love to Local Associations on the Eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival

(September 20, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau always cares for the vulnerable populations and has been dedicated in organizing various volunteer activities to visit the needy in the society. On the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival, L’Arc Macau visited and sent festive greetings to local associations. 

On 19th and 20th September, Mr. Anthony Tam, the General Manager of L’Arc Macau and Mr. Stephen Pou, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team led the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team to visit four local associations including the Macau Special Olympics, the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired, the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind of the Macau Holy House of Mercy and the ECF Inc. Fellowship Orphanage, and sending mooncake gift boxes to the associations’ members to express festive greetings and holiday blessings. Mr. Anthony Tam said: “Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival and we hope to share the happiness with them through visit and mooncake giveaway; meanwhile, we take this opportunity to understand the needs of the members and to share love and care to them.”

L’Arc Macau Launched Clothing Recycle Campaign to Care the Community

(03 Feb, 2016 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been taking the initiative to fulfill social responsibility by participating in volunteering activities and promoting the message of green recycling. As the Lunar New Year is approaching, the L’Arc Macau Volunteering Team has launched the “Clothing Recycling Campaign” again. Through the campaign, the message of recycling resources has been promote to all staff. L’Arc Macau hopes that their staff will send their love and care to the needy in the community while they are celebrating and enjoying the festive atmosphere. L’Arc Macau staff actively participated in this campaign and more than 1,000 clothes have been collected.

The L’Arc Volunteer Team leader along with the representative of volunteer members have visited and delivered the donated clothes to the Salvation Army of Macau on 03rd February. Some of these clothes will be sold in the Salvation Army Shop to raise funds for future charity activities, whereas the rest of the clothes will be donated to the people in needs within Macau, Hong Kong and the Mainland China. The main purpose of this campaign is to reinforce the message of reducing waste and to call for all staff to concern and care the needy in the community.

The L’Arc Volunteer Team is an active platform for staff to contribute more to the society through participating in different volunteering activities. They have recently organized the “Casa Ricci Elderly Center Visit” in late January, as to express their festival blessings to the elderly. In the future, L’Arc Macau will continue to organize series of activities to step forward in the caring of the local community.

 

L’Arc Macau Marks the 9th Anniversary through Volunteer Activities

(August 29, 2018 - Macau) Commemorating the 9th Anniversary, L’Arc Macau has organized a series of volunteering and recycling activities from July to October to extend the joy of the anniversary to the community together with the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team.

Since 2015, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has started to organize the “Blood Donation Activity” and has just completed the ninth time on 26th July with enthusiastic response from the staff. A volunteer who has frequently participated in this activity expressed that it only takes a little effort to donate blood and save lives. He would like to influence more people to donate blood according to his personal experience.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has also organized the “Macau Fire Services Museum Tour” on 28th August and has invited the children from ECF Inc. Fellowship Orphanage together to enjoy the last moment of the summer holidays. Besides getting acquainted with the firefighter and the history of firefighting service as well as raising the fire safety awareness, this activity has also been aimed to share love and care to the needy children.

In addition to the volunteer activities mentioned above, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has recently launched the “Clothing Recycling Activity” and the “Used Batteries Recycling Activity” again and has collected nearly 5,200 pieces of clothing and over 4,100 pieces of batteries respectively. In the upcoming months, the volunteer team will launch the “Moon Cake Box Recycling Activity” and various recycling activities to call the attention of staff towards environmental awareness while enjoying festive celebrations.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Elderly Center To Share Love

(January 26, 2016 – Macau) With the coming New Year Festival, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has held an activity of “Share Love to the Elderly” on 26th January to express their festival blessings to the elderly at the Casa Ricci Elderly Center. A total of 45 elderly, together with the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team have enjoyed the joyful moments in the afternoon.  

On the event day, the person in charge of the elderly center first introduced the facilities and daily operations of the center to the Volunteer Team, and at the same time enabled them to have a better understanding about the daily lives of the elderly. The Volunteer Team has specially designed a series of interactive games for the elderly to enhance approach and interaction with them. The elderly have participated in the games with their energetic spirits. In the joyful atmosphere, the elderly have presented singing performance and classic chorus to the Volunteer Team, who applauded and cheered for them. Towards the end of the visit, the elderly shared their feelings with the Volunteer Team which enable them to understand more of their needs and to feel the truth of happiness. The Volunteer Team has sent their gifts with blessings and appreciation towards the elderly by the end of the visit.

(July 17, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau held the monthly staff party and Employee of the Quarter Award Ceremony on 17th July, to recognize the ten outstanding employees who have achieved professional quality service and actively performed their duties in the second quarter of this year.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Macau Special Olympics

(June 21, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has actively participated and organized various volunteer activities since its establishment in 2015 aiming to care for the vulnerable populations. On 21st June, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Complexo de Serviços Ngai Chun of Macau Special Olympics (MSO) to understand more about the MSO and interact with their members.

During the visit, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team was warmly welcomed by the MSO members. After a detailed introduction and site visiting led by the centre’s representative, the volunteer team did the warm up exercise and creative towel folding with the MSO members and presented gifts to them as blessings. Mr. Stephen Pou, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team said that the aim to organize this activity is to raise the awareness of the vulnerable populations in the society and to show them care, at the same time share the spirit of “Show Your Love”.

During the event, the chairperson of L’Arc Macau, Ms. Angela Leong, together with the director of SJM Volunteer Team, Mr. Fok Chi Chiu and the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team leader participated in the kick off ceremony which implied that both volunteer teams will continue on spreading love and helpful spirit to the community. Ms. Angela Leong expressed her gratitude towards the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team for their dedication and devotion to the society during their spare time. She expected to have more new members joining in the volunteer team and to spread the virtue of sharing love and care to the needed people. Through this ceremony, Ms. Angela Leong hoped that both volunteer teams can have an interaction exchange so as to develop their future volunteer activities plans and to motivate social services together. During the award ceremony, a total of 86 L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members were awarded with the “Certificate of Appreciation” from Ms. Angela Leong; and a total of 7 members were awarded with the “Outstanding Volunteer Award“ for their long term dedication and contribution to spread the love and care to the needed people. 

The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team proactively organized and participated in volunteer activities of all types. Upon the establishment of the team, a total of 16 volunteer activities have been held, giving priority to the caring of elderly and children, the PHAB integration and technical ability workshops.

Furthermore, the L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has always been devoted to assist in the development of volunteer activities in other social associations, such as the sports day and interest groups of the Macau Special Olympics, the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind visitation of Macau Social Services Centre and so on to share love and care to the society.

 

 

 

 

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Celebrates Children’s Day through Painting Workshop

(May 28, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Macau Special Olympics (MSO) on the eve of Children’s Day to celebrate the festival with the MSO children and organized a tote bag painting workshop.

As to celebrate the Children’s Day, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the MSO on 26th May and led the MSO children to participate in a tote bag painting workshop. The volunteer team and the MSO children spent the time together to let their creativity flow by drawing their own tote bags. At the end of the workshop, the children enjoyed the refreshments and chatted with the volunteer team in a cheerful atmosphere. The volunteer team also expressed their love and care by gifting the children. A volunteer team member said that it is meaningful to participate in this activity on the eve of Children’s Day which enabling them to deliver their festive blessings to the children as well as to stimulate their creative thinking through art painting.

(April 17, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau recognized the employees for their extraordinary service and outstanding performance at the “Employee of the 1st Quarter of 2018” Awarding Ceremony at the Hotel Staff Cafeteria on 17th April, along with plentiful delicacies, exciting game and lucky draw. Go Green with L’Arc Macau

(March 26, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has organized nearly hundred volunteer activities since its establishment in 2015 with over 1,200 participants. In coherent with the objective of the Government to promote recycling and reduce waste at source, the Volunteer Team promotes recycling activities regularly to take the initiative in shaping a green Macau.

In response to a green lifestyle, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has carried out various resources recovery activities including the recycling of clothing, battery and red packet regularly. These activities have achieved remarkable results and have collected nearly 5,000 pieces of clothing and over 3,000 pieces of batteries.  At the same time, the amount of red packet collected has increased from about 4,700 for the first year to about 8,700 this year. The collected items will be delivered to the Salvation Army of Macau, the Macao Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) and its collection points.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team will continue to initiate green practices and has been dedicated to cooperate with the Government to promote environmental protection. Moreover, the Volunteer Team is committed to fulfill corporate social responsibility, taking care of the needy among the community and spreading the spirit of “Show Your Love”.


 

L'Arc Macau Volunteer Team visits the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind

(Oct 19, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau continuously fulfills corporate social responsibility by proactively organizing volunteer activities and creates opportunities for staff to participate and give back to the community. On 19th October, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind at Macau Holy House of Mercy to understand more about their daily needs as well as sharing love and care to the blinds.

On the visit day, the Volunteer Team members were being warmly welcomed by the centre’s representatives and their members. After a detailed introduction by the centre’s representative, the Volunteer Team members have an opportunity to learn simple Braille codes with the assistance of the instructor and the blinds. The Volunteer Team members expressed that a sighted person would hardly understand the challenges that a blind person would be facing in daily lives but by participating in the activity, they have experienced the inconvenience of the blinds and can deeply feel the importance of being cared and helped. In future, they would be participating in more volunteer activities to help people in need.

L’Arc Volunteer Team holds organizes caring activities with different social organizations to enable staff to understand more about the meaning of “It is more blessed to give than to receive” and to share more love and care to the needed people in the society.

 

 

L’Arc Macau Chinese New Year Staff Party Celebration

(March 9, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau organized the Chinese New Year Staff Party on 9th March to appreciate the staff for their efforts and contributions. Ms. Angela Leong, Chairperson of L’Arc Macau together with the management spent a joyous moment with the staff to celebrate the Year of Dog.
The party featured with auspicious delicacies, a series of excited games, enjoyable performance, and was livened up by the most popular session - lucky draw. About 800 prizes including gold ornaments, electronic products, theme park package and cash coupons were given away. The God of Wealth brought good fortune and well wishes to the staff through giving out red packets. Everyone beamed with delight at the party. 
Ms. Angela Leong addressed to the staff with gratitude for their dedications and support. She expressed that Macau gaming revenue grows at a steady pace. Additionally, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is opening soon, it will benefit various sectors such as tourism, gaming and catering industries in Macau. L'Arc Macau Launched Clothing Recycling Campaign 

(Sept 29, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been taken social responsibility and initiative to participate and organize volunteering events, including children home and elderly centre visit, sign language workshop as well as the most recent volunteering blood donation activity and Grand Panda Pavilion visit with the Special Olympic members. L’Arc Macau Volunteering Team once again launched a clothing recycling campaign in September to promote resources reuse message to their staff as well as spreading love and care to the community.  

With the enthusiastic response from L’Arc Macau staff and L’Arc volunteer team members, more than 600 clothes have been collected. The L’Arc Volunteer Team leader along with the representative of volunteer members have visited and delivered these clothes to the Salvation Army of Macau on 29th September. Some of these clothes will be sold in the Salvation Army shop to raise funds for future charity activities, whereas the rest of clothes will be donated to the peoples in needs within Macau, Hong Kong and the Mainland China region.   

L’Arc Volunteer Team is an active platform for staff to contribute more to the society through participating in different volunteering work. This clothing recycling campaign has been organized the second time this year as L’Arc Macau believes that this campaign is a good practice to promote both green recycling message and sending cares to the community.

 

L’Arc Macau Celebrates the Year of Dog with Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony

(February 16, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau organized the “Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony” at the hotel main entrance on the first day of Chinese New Year to welcome the Year of Dog. A series of celebration activities including the traditional worship ceremony and lion dance performance have attracted numbers of people and tourists creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Ms. Angela Leong, Chairperson of L’Arc Macau and Mr. Li Chi Keung, Vice Chairman of L’Arc Macau together with the Management team sincerely wish everyone a wonderful Year of Dog. Kicked off by an eye-dotting ritual ceremony officiated by Ms. Angela Leong and Mr. Li Chi Keung, the lion dance performed under a thundering roll of gongs and drums. The energetic lion then march into the hotel spreading blessings and happiness of the New Year to every corner of the hotel. At the same time, the God of Wealth gave away red packets throughout the ceremony, sharing the fortune and wealth with everyone.

L’Arc Macau has meticulously decorated the hotel with auspicious Chinese New Year ornaments. A 6-meter high peach blossom tree was placed at the hotel lobby hoping that every guest can enjoy a joyful Chinese New Year. L’Arc Chinese Restaurant and Coffee Shop also presented a wide range of delicacies to celebrate the festival together with guests. With a series of celebration activities, L’Arc Macau wished everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year.

 

L’Arc Macau 6th Anniversary Celebration

(September 21, 2015 – Macau) In celebration of the 6th Anniversary, L’Arc Macau held a series of activities including dining promotions, volunteering activities and moon cake giveaway to staff. An anniversary staff party was also held on 21st September as an appreciation to their efforts and contributions for the past year. The anniversary staff party featured with delicacies, exciting games and a grand lucky draw session which gave out more than 1900 prizes to the staff including luxurious watches, gadgets, electric appliances, cash coupons etc. Ms. Connie Kong, the Chief Executive Officer of L’Arc Macau and the top management team have spent the joyful moment with all the staff to celebrate the anniversary.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits Asilo de Felicity

(January 25, 2018 - Macau) L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team is actively organizing and participating in various volunteer activities, aiming to bring positive energy into the society. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Asilo de Felicity on 25th January before the Chinese New Year sending festive greetings towards the elderly and spending a warm and happy moment together.

During the visit, L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team led the elderly to perform the warm-up exercise and shared health care knowledge to them. After that, they played interactive games with the elderly and they were very devoted to the games. The members also blessed the elderly with a joyful song and wished happiness be with them always. As the visit drew to an end, the members expressed their love and care to the elderly with gifts and wishing them a Happy Chinese New Year. “The purpose of organizing this activity is to show the warmth of love from the young people to the elderly, and carry forward the fine traditions of respecting and caring the elderly.” Mr. Stephen Pou, the Leader of L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team said.

L’Arc Macau introduces environmental friendly limousine to enhance guest experience

(Sept 1, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been focusing in enhancing guest experience and providing ultimate service to the guests. In celebrating the 6th Anniversary, L’Arc Macau introduces five Mercedes Benz as luxury hotel limousine including E-Class and S-Class models and held a “Mercedes Benz Limousine Delivery Ceremony” at the hotel entrance on 1 September. Mr. Pawin Sriusvagool, the General Manager of Zung Fu Motors (Macau) Limited has been invited as the officiated guest of the event.

L’Arc Macau Invites Special Olympics Members To Visit The Macau Giant Panda Pavilion

(Aug 21, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has organized series of volunteering activities as part of the upcoming 6th Anniversary celebration in September. Right after the recent staff volunteering blood donation activity earlier this month. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has again initiated and invited the Special Olympics members to joint visit the Seac Pai Van Park and Macao Giant Panda Pavilion in Coloane on 21st August to embrace the natural environment.  

On the event day, L’Arc Volunteers and Special Olympics members were delighted by the natural landscape and the close observation of giant panda “Kai Kai” and “Xin Xin”. The Special Olympics members have a deeper understanding on the living habit of panda through an interactive game session with the L’Arc Volunteers at the panda’s information centre. The event ended up with light refreshments and origami workshop organized by the L’Arc Volunteers, the finished origami was exchanged as a memorable souvenir of this event.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team has always been taking the initiative to organize and participate in social activities, visiting the Macau Giant Panda Pavilion with Special Olympics members served as a platform of enhancing social integration to the community and maintains the employees’ work-life balance through exploring the beauty of nature.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Visits the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind 

(October 20, 2017 – Macau) With its continuous commitment to serve the community, L’Arc Macau has been actively participating in charitable activities to give a helping hand to the needy. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind at the Macau Holy House of Mercy on 20th October to raise awareness for the needs of the blind and to assist the visually impaired to integrate into the community.

The L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members received a warm welcome from the members of the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind. They prepared gifts and interactive games aiming to build a relationship with the members at the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind. After the games, representatives from the centre introduced the Braille, a tactile writing system used by the visually impaired to provide the volunteers a glimpse into the daily life of the visually impaired. “The visually impaired may not be able to see, but they are using their own means to feel the world we are living in. I think it is important to give them an opportunity to fully integrate into the community,” a L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team member expressed.

L’Arc Macau encourages their staff to actively participate in volunteer activities and spreading the core value of “Show Your Love” to the community. L’Arc Macau will continue to support social service and charitable organizations to help creating a harmonized society.

 

 

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Blood Donation Activity

(July 29, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau will hold a series of events from July to September for celebrating the upcoming 6th Anniversary, with voluntary blood donation activity being the first launching program for the anniversary celebrations.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team, together with the management members visited Macao Blood Transfusion Service on 29th July, to respond the needs of blood donation and to express their care to the local community. The Volunteer Team expressed that this is a very meaningful activity since blood donation not only can help the people in need, but also benefit to the blood donor himself. During the activity, the Volunteer Team leader presented a souvenir to the representative of Macao Blood Transfusion Service, he would like to take this opportunity to recruit more enthusiastic employees to join the Volunteer Team and take action to express care to the community.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team will hold two additional blood donation sessions on 5th Aug and 13th Aug, so as to appeal more employees to join this meaningful event and encourages them to express love and care to the local community.

L’Arc Macau Awards “Employee of the 3rd Quarter of 2017”

(October 17, 2017 - Macau) L’Arc Macau organized the “Employee of the 3rd Quarter of 2017” to recognize employees’ efforts and outstanding performance. The award presentation ceremony was held at the Hotel Staff Cafeteria on 17th October together with the monthly staff party, providing a variety of delicacies, exciting games and lucky draw sessions. The Management of L'Arc Macau and the employees gathered together to witness the birth of the awardees.

(July 17, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has taken place to reward the outstanding employees for the “2015 Best Employee of the Second Quarter” Award on 17th July. Total of 10 employees have been awarded by the Hotel General Manager, Mr. Anthony Tam with certificate of recognition and the Food & Beverage Coupons.

The best employees of this quarter including Finance - Chan Sut Man; Food & Beverage - Huang Hua, Hu Hailin; Rooms of Housekeeping - Zheng Songjian, IT Systems & AV - Ho I Sun; Engineer - Lam Kun Wai, Casino Treasury (Cage) - Kuong Kam Leng; Casino Security - Chan Mei I; Casino Operations - Cheang Kuai Lin, Mio Ka Pan.  These employees have demonstrated high standard level and effectiveness in “Quality of Work”, “Work Efficiency”, “Service Attitude” and “Responsibility”. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team Donates Mooncakes to Spread Love and Care

(September 28, 2017 – Macau) To fulfill corporate social responsibility, L’Arc Macau has been actively organizing and participating in different volunteering activities as well as promoting their aim of caring the needy among the society. L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team visited Macau Special Olympics and Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired on 28th September to share happiness and care to the associations’ members.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team donated L’Arc Macau mooncakes to both associations and celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival with their members during the visit. Both of them expressed their care to each other which made the activity ended up in a pleasure atmosphere. “As Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals, we hope to share our blessings and happy moments to the community through the activity as well as promoting the “Show your Love” spirit,” Mr. Anthony Tam, General Manager of L’Arc Macau said.

L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team shows their care towards the underprivileged groups and facilitates staff in participating volunteer activity spreading the seeds of love to the community. In the future, they will continue to deliver positive energy to the community.

 

 

 

 

L’Arc Macau Volunteers Participated Sign Language Songs Workshop

(July 08, 2015 – Macau) L’Arc Macau has always been integrated with organizing and participating in different social activities to share love to the community. 20 L’Arc Macau Volunteer Team members joined the sign language songs workshop that organized by the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired, to enhance the interactions with the hearing impaired. 

Most volunteer team members had previously joined the April visit to the association and had a basic understanding of the sign language. During the event, the instructor and members from the association demonstrated the basic gestures of signing technique, followed by a balloon twisting session given by the hearing impaired. Everyone enjoyed the time in a mild ambiance filled with love and care.  

One of the volunteer team members said, “We are happy to participate in this sign language songs workshop, it served as a platform of communicating with the hearing impaired and to express our care to them. There is no limitation in communication and we should take the initiative to approach them. The event was meaningful to bring all the team members a remarkable memory of social activities involvement.”
